Towel Warmers for the bathroom

If you ever stayed in a hight end hotel, you may have noticed your towels were nice and warm after you got out of the shower. This is becuase that particular hotel had a towel warmer installed. You can have this luxury in you home for a nominal amount fee and you dont alway need a plumber or electrician to install them.

Benefits

For dry and fresh towels, after using your towel, fold it to double thickness. The next time you reach for your towel it will be dry and warm. Even in the humid summer months using a towel warmer will keep towels dry and stop them from smelling musty.

Also use a towel warmer to help dry cold damp winter clothes. Try putting your coats, jackets and mittens on the towel warmer. Not only will they dry and stay free of mildew, but they will also be nice and warm next time you want to put them on. Towel warmers can also dry, bathing suits and dry hand washables (e.g. sweaters) and other delicate laundry items that can't be tumble dried.

Heating types

Electronic - An electronic towel warmer is often the right choice for remodeling or where the entire space relies on electric heat. ·

Hydronic - Homes that use forced hot water and have proper plumbing access will find hydronic styles to be the most compatible. Even domestic hot water sources may be used under certain circumstances.

Installation Options

Wall-Mount - A wall mount towel warmer can be installed with minimal installation on your bathroom wall.

· Floor Standing - A floor standing towel warmer can be installed to stand on the bathroom floor giving easy access to your towels.

· Shelf - A shelf towel warmer can be installed in your bathroom on the wall. It conserves on space while adding a great look to your bathroom.

· Portable - A portable towel warmer gives the convenience of easy installation anywhere in your home. Just plug in the towel warmer and receive warm towels.

How to use towel warmers

When using towel warmers, towels should be folded to double thickness. This helps trap the heat in the fiber of the towel. You can put more than one towel at a time. In fact, the more towels you put on it the better it works! For quickest drying results the towel should be unfolded to allow the moisture to escape quickly. When drying items and garments it is important that a towel is placed over the rail and the garments are placed on top of the towel. You need to be sure that items are colorfast to avoid discoloration or bleeding of color. Garments should be free of detergents or other residues that may cause discoloration. (Fabrics that contain soap or detergent residue may show what appears to be scorch marks. However, this is simply the discoloration of the residue. The heated towel rack does not reach sufficient temperature to scorch fabric).
